MY story
About Chris Noga
Chris Noga started writing songs in the late 1980's as the chief songwriter for the obscure northeast Ohio band, North by Northwest. Between 1989 and 1992, North by Northwest released one single, two cassette EP's and appeared on one local CD compilation.
In 1993, Chris made the tough decision to set aside his music and focus on a career in public service. While he occasionally wrote and recorded new material over the next two decades, he didn't return to writing in full force until he retired in 2021.
In March 2026, Chris released his first full-length album, "No Words Needed," a collection of instrumentals which is available on most streaming services. A single, "She Looks Better" was released in June 2026 and submitted to the 2026 American Songwriter contest.
You can find Chris around Northeast Ohio playing guitar in The Focus Group, a classic rock/country cover band.
“I write what I want. I love the challenge of working in genres that I normally wouldn't. The possibilities are endless.”
